Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Aviation and Safety

Aviation professionals know the utmost importance of Safety and Security in their daily tasks and responsibilities.

Aircraft Accident Investigators

In certain circumstances, a self-protection is a must against any outside danger. That is the case for Aircraft Accident Investigators. STI GmbH and ICA best answer this non-negotiable requirement you have: To provide a European certified high quality PPE to the persons in charge. PPE, a Personal Protective Equipment, is a whole-body protective clothing. It is used to protect a person from any kind of chemical, biological and physical risks.

Why is a PPE needed?

Because of the fibre composite materials in aircraft, highlighted in the graphic below, hazards are very high for human beings. They range from toxic dust in clothing, on the skin, on vehicles and can lead to inflammation of the lungs/respiratory tract, carcinogenic, injury to the skin/mucous membrane.

For whom?

PPE is needed for Civil Aircraft Accident Investigators: These personnel involved with handling fibre composites, or working in areas where fibre composite dust may be present should wear full PPE.

PPE is produced to ICAO and EU standards and is compliant with the  EU Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on personal protective equipment and repealing  Council Directive 89/686/EEC.
