Personnel screening persons other than passengers and their carried items (staff and goods control)

Basic training

Specific training for staff and carry-on items screening is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements, covering the following topics:

• Legal requirements
• X-ray technology & radiation protection
• Weapons & explosives
• Basics of X-ray interpretation
• Training X-ray image interpretation by using OTS® (Operator Training System)
• Practical work at the security checkpoint, X-ray machines, hand-held and walk-through metal detectors, identity checking
• Handling of disruptive or untruly passengers
• Conflict prevention & management
